    Advantaged Bakken Midstream Infrastructure

    Hess owns an approximate 44% interest, on a consolidated basis, in Hess Midstream LP, which owns high-quality infrastructure assets in the core of the Bakken shale play that include crude oil gathering and terminaling, gas gathering and processing, and water handling services. In addition, contracts with Hess Midstream for pipeline and rail capacity provide Hess with access to the highest value markets for its Bakken production. Hess retains operational control of the midstream business to support its upstream growth.

    With its industry-leading acreage position, Hess’ Bakken operations in North Dakota are competitive with the best shale-oil plays in the world.  Through the application of Lean manufacturing techniques, our wells continue to be among the lowest cost and most productive in the Bakken. We have more drilling spacing units in the core of the play than any other operators.
