Hess joined the American Petroleum Institute and the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council to honor the inaugural class of the API Blue Wave Supplier Development Program. The program identifies minority owned small businesses and arms them with skills to provide core services to the oil and natural gas industry through workshops, training and corporate mentorship to fill supplier needs.

Hess Supports Prairie Grit Therapy to Aid Military Families

Hess recently donated $40,000 In our continued support of Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports and Prairie Grit Therapy in Minot, North Dakota. The donation will be used to increase the size of their clinic to allow for more therapists and services, including expanded insurance coverage options that will include military families at the Minot Air Force Base.

Zhiyong Zhao Conferred Honorary Title Dato’ by Malaysian Royalty

Zhiyong Zhao, Hess Vice President Asia, was conferred the honorary title of Dato’ by the Sultan of Kelantan, His Royal Highness Sultan Muhammad V. The award is a recognition of our contributions to the state of Kelantan and Malaysia as a whole, including as a significant gas producer to Peninsular Malaysia, infrastructure development in the Tok Bali Supply Base, our long-term community investment programs and various disaster relief activities.

Hess to Grant Scholarships for High School Seniors in North Dakota

Hess is providing $50,000 to its scholarship program in our continued partnership with the North Dakota State Fair Foundation. For the third year, eight scholarships will be awarded to North Dakota high school seniors who are current members of either 4-H or FFA and plan to pursue secondary education or training for a career in the oil and gas industry.

Hess Partners with Houston Dynamo and Dash to Provide Camp for Underserved Children

Our partnership with Houston’s professional men’s and women’s soccer teams, Dynamo and Dash, delivered a free multi-week soccer and educational camp to students in underserved communities within our Hess Neighborhood.

The program offers health and academic benefits that teaches participants about the science of sports and includes an awards system that recognizes outstanding local students with tickets and in-game experiences.
